Project 2 Final Videos

So, I thought we had to make a completely new model. In the short amount of time I was able to free myself for this, I've made these.

Batch Rendering.

Once that's done, I just gotta piece it together in after effects.

Rigged Character

I gave this guy a VERY basic rig.

What I'm Animating

Here's this weird football-playing shrek creature. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing, but my mesh is alive. So… Imma use it.

Lava monster or Stop Sign... Which to use?

I'm building two different meshes at the moment to turn in next week with project two. I would like to use the Lava monster shown in my last post, but that entirely depends on wether or not the texture I made transfers out of Zbrush. The other Is a simple stop sign with another sign swinging from it reading "Dead Ahead".

Lave Bug Monster

So I was working on this in class, and if I can get things straightened out I'll put this into the scene.
If that doesn't fly, then I may just make a sign or something.

Lesson 24 Project 2: FINISH HIM!

Dunzoed.

Lesson 23 Project 2: Sandbags

Almost done. Almost done. Just a little more.

Lesson 22 Project 2: Correct dat Color

Mine is so dark, but all of my settings should be exactly what his are? What's going on!?

Lesson 21 Project 2: Break it down

We used the color matte to break down the info of the sign into its various parts.

Lesson 20 Project 2: Fusion-ha!

We combined the color passes. Deal with it.

Lesson 19 Project 2: Ambient Occlusion on Dat sign

It took me 10 seconds to realize I was looking at the wrong screen. The problem? I was looking at a powered down computer… 5 feet away.
Oh, and in this lesson it was mainly rinsing and repeating the last lesson, but with some tweaks.

Lesson 18 Project 2: Occlusion

I've occluded sleep for the sake of occluding the shadow. Am I using that word right? Probably not.

Lesson 17 Project 2: More Shady stuff

More messing with the shadows. We took the effects we had on the background and copied them to the foreground, then deleted the foreground contrast option because it was useless.

Lesson 16 Project 2: Purtying up them Shadows

I think I did alright. Just messing with things about the shadow (coloring, intensity, and making it so you can kinda see what's underneath)

Lesson 15 Project 2: Organizing them pre comps

Just some cleaning/organizing, easy enough.

Lesson 14 Project 2: putting the pictures into AfterEffects

This may have been the easiest thing I've done yet.

Lesson 13: Batch Rendering

I've started my batch rendering. Now I'm stuck until it finishes.

Lesson 12: Motion Vector Pass Thingy

I can do it. I don't know if we have it on these computers, but I did what he did.

Lesson 11: RGB...A?

Assigning these colors was easy.
Alphas weren't too bad either.

Lesson 10: Bionicle Legs?

Am I going crazy, which would be a very plausible answer, or does this shading look like Bionicle Legs?

Lesson 9: What Witchcraft is this?

So he just flipped the occlusion and turned what was a shadow on a white space into a scary set of eyes staring out menacingly.. Awesome.

Lesson 8: Making little layers and playing with lightbulbs

Make a layer to store the sphere, mesh and directional light, then do stuff to the light and render settings. Add final Gathering. Done.

Lesson 7: Faking a realistic shadow

This stuff requires some precision. I need more sleep to nail precision.

Lesson 6

It's do-able. Measurements, Rotations, Lack-of-Sleep, it's all manageable.

I got jagged edges, he gets smooth edges!

His is working properly, my ground plane edges are all wonkified. Why is his so curvy?

Lesson 4

The video just.... stopped! He was going through and doing placement, and that's all he really does after importing and scaling. I've got my sign where I want it, so I'm good.

Tilting the Point Cloud to match the X-Axis

It rotated. No trouble.

Digital Tutors is Deathly Ill, but not Dead!

It's got very slow loading times, it's taken almost half an hour for one video that is ridiculously simple. Also: he tells us to go under ImagePlane1, but I found the options under ImagePlaneShape1.

Updated Video File For Project 1

This is an MP4 Version of the project. My thumb was fixed, but this stuff doesn't seem to like me. My thumb disappeared for some reason, it's back.
